Come

Come

Isaiah 55:1 | Lewis Bayly | Never Miss a Moment by Scott Holmes | Ships in Distress off a Rocky Coast by Ludolf Backhuysen | Gospel Portions Book: www.ryanbush.org
Ryan Bush:

Come, everyone who thirsts. Come to the waters, and he who has no money, come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Isaiah 55:1.

Ryan Bush:

Oh, Lord, for all my sins, my conscience cries guilty, and Your law condemns me, and I am in Your hand to receive the sentence and curse that is due to the willful breach of so holy a commandment. Yet, Lord, Your gospel assures me that Your mercy is above all Your works, that Your grace transcends Your law, and Your goodness delights there to reign where sins do most abound. In the multitudes of the mercies and merits of Jesus Christ, my Savior, I beseech You, O Lord, who does not despise the sighing of a contrite heart, nor desires the death of a penitent sinner, to pardon and forgive me all these my sins, and all the errors of this day, and of my whole life and free my soul from the curse of judgment, which is due to me for them. Amen. Lewis Bayly.
