For the Sake of Your Promise

For the Sake of Your Promise

Ryan Bush:

Behold, Lord, though my failings are many, I come at your call and I come weary and heavy laden with the burden of my sins. Be it unto me according to Your word. Oh You who are faithful and just, forgive me my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Oh heavenly father, for the sake of your truth and promise and for all the merits and sufferings of the son of your love in whom you are well pleased, pardon all my sins and failings and receive me into your favor. Thank you for easing my burden so that I may rest in you. For you have said unto my soul, be of good cheer. Your sins are forgiven. Amen. Thomas Ken.

Ryan Bush:

Christ justified us by taking away the guilt of sin, procuring remission and pardon of them, redeeming us from their power along with the curse and wrath due unto us for them. For by His own blood He entered into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. He redeemed us from the curse being made a curse for us, His own self bearing our sins in His own body on the tree. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God, but are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith, His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins. For in Him we have redemption through His blood even the forgiveness of sins. John Owen.
